NCC Makes a Difference at All Stages of Life
New Community provides programs and services for individuals and families of all ages. Your support will help young children and families who may be struggling with homelessness or hunger, help get young people on the path to success with a strong educational foundation, help senior citizens in need and provide support and education for individuals to get good jobs to support themselves and their families.

After experiencing homelessness, Denayah Reese completed the Patient Care Technician program at New Community Career & Technical Institute and is now working as a nurse’s assistant at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, supporting herself and her young son.
Valarie Dickerson came to New Community Extended Care Facility after a partial leg amputation when her son, who has special needs, was just 6 months old. Extended Care staff helped with her rehabilitation process and she was able to return to her son. She is looking forward to the next chapter of her life and raising her little boy.
When Tamika Muhammad left a violent living situation, she ended up at Harmony House, New Community’s transitional housing facility for homeless families. During her stay, she was hired as an activity aid at Extended Care, a job she loves. She has since moved into her own apartment and is grateful for the help she received.
After completing the Building Trades Specialist program at New Community Career & Technical Institute, Yusto Awich started his own general construction business. He credits the program with providing the hands-on instruction needed to succeed in the field and said his instructor helped him even after he had graduated.
