Touched by an angel: The residents of New Community Associates enjoyed a holiday party hosted by Joi’s Angels, an East Orange-based inner city emergency service program that serves Essex and Union counties. Volunteers from Joi’s Angels provaided musical entertainment (solo and group performances), dinner as well as prizes and gifts, and brought a true holiday spirit to the seniors and disabled adults residing at 180 South Orange Ave. in Newark.
