Four modules comprise our Building Trades Specialist Program: basic carpentry, basic electricity, basic plumbing and an internship.

Located at the state-of-the-art Training Center for New Community Career and Technical Institute, the Building Trades Specialist Program offers both hands-on training and classroom lectures. New Community Career and Technical Institute provides highly qualified staff, support services, career information and job placement.
Program Hours
Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
540 hours or 16 weeks
Classroom and hands-on training
Program Requirements
* Be at least 18 years old
* Have a high school diploma or equivalent
* Be available during daytime hours
* Provide proof of citizenship
