New Community Career & Technical Institute, previously named New Community Workforce Development Center, is an accredited post-secondary career and technical institute that offers comprehensive vocational training in several disciplines. We offer courses that prepare job seekers for careers in Automotive, Diesel, Building Trades, Business and Computer Technologies, Culinary Arts, Diesel, and Health Care professions. For older youth who want to gain their high school diploma, we offer the High School Equivalency Program, which provides students with classroom literacy and learning skills as well as vocational training and entry level job placement.

New Community Career & Technical Institute is committed to student success, both in the classroom and in the workplace. Its approach to education is career-focused. Whether you want to acquire skills to launch a new career or attain additional skills to advance professionally, NCCTI should be your first stop.

At NCCTI, students choose from occupational programs developed in response to labor market research. They learn in the classroom and receive hands-on training through practical experience and internships. Our teaching curriculum is delivered by skilled staff and utilizes innovative, cutting-edge industrial tools.

Entrance requirements
* All students must be at least 18 years of age on or before the first day of class
* High school diploma or HSE (high school equivalency)
* All applicants must take the Test of Adult Basic Education for entrance into the program

Services and amenities offered include
* Highly-qualified instructors and support staff
* On-site admissions and placement office
* Spacious, well-lit classrooms and study areas
* Resource lab with internet access
* On-site cafeteria

New Community Career & Technical Institute is minutes from Newark Penn Station and is available by NJ Transit buses. The facility is also handicap accessible.

Additionally, it is a designated One Stop Center where individuals conduct job search using our computer lab and Family Resource Success Center. The training rooms are prepped for the various disciplines. Participants can also study for their HSE and take Adult Basic Skills education classes.
