New Community Corporation (NCC) has been dedicated to empowering families to improve their lives for 56 years.

Education has always been a cornerstone for NCC. We have changed the lives of countless children through our early learning centers and Youth Services programs. Now we are embarking on a literacy initiative to ensure children in our early learning centers build upon that educational foundation and can read at grade level by the end of third grade.

Beginning in January, New Community will partner with 40 families from our early learning centers as they navigate their educational journey, providing children with one book per month, quarterly family meetings, and tutoring support as needed. Staff will also meet with parents and follow children’s progress through elementary school. Scholarships will be offered to children who remain in the program through the end of third grade.

We are excited to start this program and see our young scholars blossom in elementary school. But we can’t do it alone.
