Members of Leadership Newark Class of 2023 visited New Community on May 11 as part of a session titled “The Intersection of Faith, Activism & Public Policy.” New Community Director of Community Engagement Richard Cammarieri and Director of Mission Frances Teabout met the group at Monsignor William J. Linder Plaza and discussed the history of New Community, the role religion played in its founding and its offerings to the community. Leadership Newark was established in 1998 to develop the skills and knowledge of a diverse network of established and emerging leaders who will collectively and individually enhance and strengthen the vibrancy and future growth of the greater Newark region.
