In conjunction with Essex County, New Community is hosting a Farmers Market for county seniors (ages 60 and up) in Meditation Park, 140 South Orange Ave., Newark, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. People must bring proof of identity, residency and income in order to receive vouchers.
Vouchers of $25 will be provided to seniors 60 and older to shop with the farmer. Those who do not meet the state guidelines can purchase food if they choose to.
