For some nursing home residents, the holiday season may be an isolating or lonely time of year—but not at New Community Extended Care Facility. In addition to the many festivities that staff organize, volunteers such as a group of 15 employees from DHL Shipping Services brought the holidays to Extended Care residents. Santa Claus headline the event, which featured interactive musical performances and festive inflatable decorations such as a Snoopy’s “sno-machine” and a cozy fireplace.
