Feeling, Looking Good: Former Harmony House Residents Pamper Current Families

Sisters Who Amplify Greatness (aka SWAG) hosted an empowerment event for young girls who live with their families at New Community Harmony House, a transitional housing facility in Newark for homeless families. SWAG Founder Claudette Craig, a former Harmony House resident, organized the special day, which featured a Mary Kay consultant who provided the young ladies with a skin care exercise. Mothers from Harmony House also received giveaways such as free movie tickets and gift cards for free hairdos at D’Personal Touch Salon and Spa. Also on hand was a barber from Million Dollar Cuts, Alonzo Ward, himself also a former resident, who gave free cuts to young men at Harmony House. Photos courtesy of Lisa Chavis.
