New Community senior residents participated in a Valentine’s Day themed bingo extravaganza hosted at New Community Associates. The community room at 180 South Orange Ave. in Newark was abuzz with excitement as residents eyed a table filled with prizes and readied their bingo daubers and multiple cards. State officials, including Sen. Teresa Ruiz (D-Essex) and Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor-Marin (D-Essex), and candidates running for a seat on the Newark Public Schools Advisory Board on April 21 were on hand to greet residents and distribute snacks and Valentine’s sweets.
