NCC Adult Learning Center hosted a celebration in honor of Three Kings Day that drew a large crowd. More than 150 children participated in the event, which commemorates the story of the three wise men who traveled by star to bring gifts to baby Jesus in Bethlehem. The fun-filled celebration included arts and crafts, face painting, snacks, movies and the distribution of gifts, which were donated by the generosity of Toys R Us in Elizabeth, Babies R Us in Flanders, World Artist Network in Connecticut and New Community, according to Adult Learning Center Director Cristhian Barcelos. The robed wise men, Elvin Argenal (blue), Diego Baresaghi (red) and Christian Parraguirre (purple), helped to hand out the toys, prepared in advance by many volunteers, and took photos with each of the families.
