Children’s Author From Newark Reads Her Latest Book At NCC Post author:Michelle Lang Post published:July 31, 2014 Post category:Early Learning Centers / Latest News Post comments:0 Comments Author Karen Elise Wormack recently visited NCC’s Community Hills Early Learning Center and read her latest book, “The Adventures of Prissy and Missy: Sleepwalk Affair,” to the toddler and prekindergarten classes. Wormack, in photo on left, holds her book and stands next to Community Hills Director Tawanna Brown, left, and three students. The founder of an independent publishing firm called House of the Guilded Scribe, Wormack was born in Newark, graduated high school in East Orange and later earned her bachelor’s degree in English and her master’s degree in Public Administration. She spent the afternoon at Community Hills, signing copies of books purchased by staff and parents.
