Certified Nurse's Aides
A
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides health care services to those
who cannot care for themselves at home. Demand for CNAs is high

emergency care, surgery, sub-acute care facilities, long-term care centers,
mental health agencies, home care agencies and hospices.
The New Community Workforce Development Centers Certified Nursing

and sensitive giving of care. The emphasis is on nursing assistant skills
and functions, safety, caring, understanding patient rights, the psychosocial
approach to patient and resident care, and respect for the dignity,
value and spiritual and recreational needs of patients and residents.
Students learn to apply communications principles when interacting with
patients, residents, peers and other health team members and service
providers.
The Certified Nursing Assistant program is approved by the New Jersey
