Building Trades Specialists
Graduates of the Building Trades program have the opportunity to work for unions or for non-union and prevailing wage contractors in a number of specialties including plumbing, electrical wiring, heating & air ventilation, roofing, landscaping, masonry, painting, carpentry and pipe fitting. Students are trained to work as Assistant Building Superintendents
and can enter a variety of construction and building trades apprenticeship
tracks. They learn by examining the theories, principals and procedures
of different areas of the industry. Students can specialize in one of
four areaselectrical, carpentry, plumbing or blue printsto
receive more intensive training and instruction on the respective national
codes. Curriculum Course work is divided into six intensive modules to prepare students to excel in the building trades industry. Modules include instruction in: Carpentry, Electrical Wiring Plumbing, Blue Prints, Technical Math, Communication . Class Schedule 30 Weeks
