NCC Extended Care

New Community’s Extended Care Facility offers quality health care in an atmosphere of warmth provided by a skilled and caring staff.

It is located on South Orange Avenue in Newark’s Central Ward. The Extended Care Facility has a licensed capacity of 180 beds and has 129 employees.

Extended Care, which opened in 1986, was NCC’s first facility to provide quality, community-based health care. It remains the most prominent component of NCC Health Care. The Extended Care Facility is modern, clean and inviting. Private and semi-private rooms offer comfort and security to residents. Three daily meals, laundry services and a wide variety of recreational and leisure activities are provided.

The Extended Care Facility offers a full range of nursing, medical and rehabilitative services. Counseling, psychiatric care and social services are all available, as are short-term stays and palliative and hospice services.

The medical care professionals at the Extended Care Facility keep abreast of developments in their fields by attending a range of professional workshops and enrolling in courses to further their professional qualifications.
