A total of 25 like-new bicycles, along with helmets, were distributed to children residing in New Community family housing by a non-profit that collects gently-used bicycles and refurbishes them. Adam Henick, the founder of Good Goes Around, was on hand at the New Community Social Services office to see the bicycles distributed shortly before Christmas. Henick, of South Orange, is Senior Vice President of Ambulatory Care & Medical Enterprise for Continuum Health Partners Inc., based in New York. His Good Goes Around organization distributed more than 1,000 bikes in 2010. “I think bicycling is a great activity for kids to do,” he said. “Too many kids are couch potatoes, sitting in front of the tv and computers, which has led to an increase in obesity and diabetes.” In photo, Henick and NCC board member Madge Wilson are seen with Malikah Clark and her three children, from left, twins Jabree and Jabaree and Shaquan Clark.
