
At age 64, Joseph Gravney was a walking time bomb, only he didn’t know it. A resident of New Community Corporation’s Manor Senior, he decided to check out a free wellness clinic located on the first floor shortly after he moved in. It was there that Gravney would learn a frightening fact. His blood pressure was so elevated---170/110--- it put him at extremely high risk of suffering a massive stroke.

New Community Corporation’s Family Resource Center processed 1,359 applications for persons seeking help paying energy bills last year, the most of any agency in the statewide network served by the energy assistance program known as NJ SHARES.

Auto and Culinary Schools Hold Graduation Ceremony

More than 20 graduates who completed their course of study for New Community’s culinary arts or auto tech training programs received their certificates as proud family members and friends looked on during a recent ceremony at St. Rose of Lima Church.
