ADULT MEDICAL DAY CARE PARTICIPANTS ENJOYING SUMMERA picnic outing and limbo dancing are among the activities being enjoyed by participants in New Community’s Adult Medical Day Care program this summer. Spruce Run Recreation Area in Hunterdon County was the site for the recent picnic, where the participants were able to relax on a sunny, summer afternoon and also wade into the lake.
“I enjoyed it. I put my feet in the water and I buried my feet the sand. We ate and had a good time,” said Regina Wilcox, one of those who attended the outing.
Richard Gonzalez, another program participant, also went on the trip, for which transportation was provided by New Community Corporation.
“I walked on the beach and we ate sandwiches and salad,” he said. “It’s great they have a lot of activities. It gives us something to do.”
The program, which includes breakfast and lunch, also provides medication management, transportation to and from doctor’s appointments and shopping excursions.
