With 4 schools, after-school programs and youth services, New Community’s education system is a leading model for community development organizations engaged in services for children and teens.

Supplemental Education Services (SES)
NCC also runs a successful after-school program at Newton Street public elementary school, and an after-school program affiliated with the New Horizons Community Charter School. The two after-school programs serve more than 200 children.
Summer Camp
NCC’s Summer Camp, held at the Neighborhood Recreation Center on Hayes Street in the Central Ward, serves more than 100 children.
High School Student’s Programs
High school students are served by the Newark Youth Leadership Program, a partnership that runs after-school and summer programs. Hundreds of Newark youth also participate in recreational and educational outings every year organized by different NCC programs.
